In the United Kingdom, in co-operation with our associate agencies abroad, we place Au Pairs from the following countries:
Please remember that an Au Pair lives as part of your family and is expected to be made welcome as a family member - not an employee or servant. They are coming to England to learn English so their English may seem poor when they first arrive.
Duties include child care and light housework.
In return for those duties an Au Pair should receive:
An Au Pair from most EU member countries may work for up to 30 hours per week + two evenings babysitting but Au Pairs from Bulgaria and Romania are only permitted to work for 25 hours per week + 2 evenings babysitting.
Au Pair Plus
The duties and guidelines for an Au Pair Plus are the same as those for an Au Pair, however he/she will be prepared to work for up to 35 hours per week (EU Nationals only) plus two evenings babysitting for pocket money of £80 - £100 per week proportionate to the number of hours worked (between 31 - 35 hours per week)
